Conversation #4: Non-violent Communication with Kathy Sdao and Dr. Chris Pachel

Being an Advocate for Your Dog (and Yourself)

Non-violent communication, developed by Marshall Rosenberg, is based on the idea that we all have the capacity for compassion, and that we only use violence or harmful behavior when we don’t have a more effective way to meet our needs. Join Sarah Stremming, Marissa Martino, Dr. Chris Pachel, and Kathy Sdao for this powerful conversation, exploring the needs of our dogs, ourselves, and others. Add tools to your communication toolbox to have hard conversations with loved ones. These conversations might include, asking your family members to support your dog in a new way, asking the vet tech to move slowly so your dog can adjust, or asking someone to leash up their off-leash dog.
